Michelle specializes in addressing trauma, addictions, and aiding women who have been exploited and trafficked heal,  through her non-profit private practice (Grace to Glory Counseling).  She provided individual counseling in a residential setting (Refuge for Women Central KY, 2015-2020) and now works with Jasmine Road in Greenville, SC, providing group counseling and consultation.


Michelle graduated with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in Leadership in May 2020. Her dissertation title was Understanding the Experience of Hope From the Perspectives of Women Who Have Overcome Human Trafficking: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis; the study participants were women who attended a residential program as part of their recovery.


Michelle was awarded the Excellence in Scholarship Award from the Department of Counseling Education for her work on her dissertation.   In 2020, Michelle was awared the KCA Tim Robertson Advocacy Award, presented at the Kentucky Counseling Association, Annual Conference.


 She has completed a 14-hour EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) CEU training for EMDR Protocols to use with recent critical incidents and ongoing trauma and for acute stress syndrome stabilization (used to help stabilize individuals impacted by natural disasters or unexpected tragedies such as a public or school shooting).  She has also completed a14-hour course through EMDR Institute for the Utilization of EMDR Therapy with Complex Trauma, (included using EMDR with clients during online therapy), and a 14 CEU training on Addressing attahchment issues in adults and children through the 8 phoes of EMDR therapy:  Putting attachment theory into pracitce.


She has presented multiple state and national conferences and acted in an advisory role for the National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance, on developing criteria, policies, and procedures that incorporates trauma-informed care, in order for residential programs to meet standards for accreditation.


Michelle consults on topics related to human trafficking and residential programs for women in recovery.  She provides training to individuals and organizations on trauma, trauma-informed care, and conducts a variety of psychoeducational webinars.  See her CV for examples.

Mandi Call

Grace to Glory Counseling is proud to be offering services in North Georgia in partnership with Mandi Call.

Mandi Call has a heart and desire is to see people flourish in life and faith. Over the past 20 years, Mandi has been walking alongside people as they work through life’s hardships. God has used her own journey of healing and restoration to give her the passion for counseling and helping others.


She completed her Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis on Family and Marriage. Mandi desires to see others walk in wholeness, to experience comfort in grief, hope in depression and anxiety, and joy in marriage and parenting. Mandi has many years of experience leading people through The Ultimate Journey as they experience healing from their past and embrace their freedom in Christ. She is also a trained facilitator with Prepare/Enrich and Symbis. Both are marriage and premarital assessment tools that help couples establish a strong foundation in their marriage.


Mandi focuses on building a compassionate relationship with her clients so they have a safe place to explore and share their feelings and experiences.


Mandi and John live in Ellijay and have been married for 23 years. They have two daughters, Naomi and Abi. Throughout their marriage, they have been teaching and serving within the local church body and for a season they were foster parents. Mandi and John enjoy hiking, being with family and friends, and teaching their young married couples Sunday school class at First Baptist Church.

The National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance is a network of service providers committed to enhancing services and increasing access to care for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They host a national conference every year, and I was honored to be a part of this online alliance.

Grace to Glory, Inc. provides counseling and coaching from a Christian perspective for individuals, couples, families, and groups. We desire to help all people overcome their problems, find meaning and joy in life, and become mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy.


The role of your own spirituality and religion will be discussed, respected, and incorporated into your therapeutic plan and coaching as you desire and deem most helpful to you. Our services are available to residents of the community regardless of religious affiliation.


If your situation is deemed inappropriate and outside the expertise of the counselor, you will be provided with a referral to other agencies.
